Hello there! My name is Dylan Bishop and I am a web designer living in Tucson, Arizona. I have just completed several projects and now it’s time to take on more. I am looking for a web design/development position that will be challenging and offer opportunities to gain knowledge and growth.

Let me just take a moment and tell you a little more about myself and my skills. I am educated in graphic design and fine arts and have experience with website project management. I work with Adobe Creative Suite CS4 and I have extensive comprehension of XHTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, MXML, Flash ActionScript 3.0, Java, SQL and database design. I have experience working on Mac, Windows and Unix/Linux operating platforms.

Education

School is very important to me. There is so much to learn, but so little time. I’m currently attending Pima College and I’m planning to earn a masters degree in business with a minor in computer science. Most of my web development education has been self taught (with the help of Google). My interest in web development all started with my exposure to Flash. I started learning ActionScript 2.0 and building basic dynamic web applications. 6 years and over 10 programming languages later, I have learned all the ins and outs of designing and developing quality web applications for the internet. Still, I pick up the books everyday to continue learning and add on to my skill set. My quality of work is improving everyday.

Hobbies and Interests

When I’m not working/playing on the internet, I pick up two sticks and run a rhythmic parade on my drum set. I also like producing short cartoon films, hiking in the desert, playing video games, hanging out with friends, ranting about politics and international relations, dogs, wildlife, music (especially drumming and percussion), the beach would be nice if there was one. My mind is very overwhelmed with things to do in my free time. I usually just go back to the computer and work, or study.

I will be updating my blog with lots of useful and interesting things that I find on the internet…mostly tips and tricks for web designers and developers like myself. Also, I will update my portfolio page with recent work.
